Our Focus

Ship construction represents one of the most challenging planning problems in industry today. The problem is big but production runs are small, limiting the resources that can be allocated to planning.

CAD product models today contain a wealth of information. Aside from pretty pictures, however, current tools have not really tapped the potential for using this data to improve the planning process. Industrial Planning Technology Inc is actively engaged in developing tools that bridge the intelligence gap between CAD, planning, and ERP systems. The goals are to:

• Reduce construction cost through optimum use of  automated facilities
• Provide accurate cost and time estimates
• Reduce time and cost of planning
• Reduce time to delivery
